About the Role
We're looking for a creative and driven Commercial Account Executive to help grow our customer base of developer-first companies and scaling startups. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in startup environments, understands API sales cycles, and wants to work closely with CTOs, engineering leads, and technical founders building modern messaging infrastructure.
You'll manage full-cycle sales, partner cross-functionally to ensure smooth implementations, and help define what efficient sales looks like in the messaging API space.
You Will:
Own the full sales cycle from lead to close for SMB and mid-market accounts
Run technical discovery to understand current messaging infrastructure and pain points
Partner with GTM Engineers to demo our intelligent routing capabilities and ROI impact
Educate customers on how Sent reduces costs while improving deliverability across channels
Build pipeline through creative outbound and consistently hit revenue targets
Navigate technical buying committees including developers, product managers, and finance
Structure deals based on message volume and multi-channel requirements
Ensure smooth handoffs to implementation team for customer success
We're Looking For:
2-5 years experience in technical sales, preferably selling APIs or developer tools
Strong understanding of developer workflows and API-first products
Ability to run a consultative, value-driven sales process with technical buyers
Comfortable discussing webhooks, REST APIs, and integration patterns
Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota in a startup environment
Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Natural curiosity about how businesses use messaging to engage customers
Experience with modern sales tools (Salesforce, Outreach, Gong)
