About Sent

At Sent, we're transforming the way businesses reach and communicate with their customers. Sent is a unified messaging API that intelligently routes messages across SMS, WhatsApp, iMessage, and other channels. Our technology automatically identifies which channel a consumer prefers, enabling global reach while reducing the cost of messaging by 90% compared to traditional solutions.

Backed by Companyon Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, UIF, and CEAS Investments, we recently completed a $3.55M Seed round and are rapidly scaling our platform to enable the next generation of business messaging.

About the Role

As a Go-to-Market Engineer at Sent, you'll be the architect of our revenue growth. This isn't a traditional sales role—it's a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and customer engagement. You'll build automated systems that generate pipeline, close deals, and help customers transform their own messaging strategies.

You'll own the entire customer journey: from building sophisticated outbound campaigns using our messaging platform to closing enterprise deals and providing technical guidance. This is a role for someone who gets excited about both writing code to automate processes AND jumping on calls to solve customer problems.

What You'll Do

Build Revenue-Generating Systems

  • Design and implement automated outbound campaigns using or building your own GTM tools (Clay, Apollo, Outreach, etc.)

  • Create data pipelines that identify high-intent prospects based on messaging volume, channel usage, and integration patterns

  • Build personalized messaging sequences that leverage our multi-channel capabilities

  • Develop ROI calculators and cost-comparison tools that quantify our 90% cost reduction

Generate & Close Pipeline

  • Own revenue targets end-to-end—from first touch to closed deal

  • Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand prospects' current messaging infrastructure

  • Navigate complex enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders

  • Price and structure deals based on message volume and channel requirements

Product & Market Intelligence

  • Synthesize customer feedback into actionable product insights

  • Identify new use cases and expansion opportunities within accounts

  • Stay ahead of messaging regulations, carrier requirements, and channel innovations

  • Contribute to product roadmap based on market demands

Scale What Works

  • Document and templatize successful outbound campaigns and messaging strategies

  • Build reusable demos, integration guides, and technical resources

  • Share learnings across the team to accelerate everyone's success

What You'll Bring

Required

  • Technical Foundation: Strong programming skills (Python, JavaScript, or similar) with the ability to work with APIs, webhooks, and build automation workflows

  • Systems Thinking: Proven ability to design and implement scalable processes—you see patterns and build solutions, not one-off fixes

  • GTM Experience: 3+ years in sales, growth, or technical customer-facing roles with a track record of exceeding targets

  • Builder Mentality: You've automated something that used to be manual, whether it's a sales process, data pipeline, or customer workflow

  • Communication Excellence: Ability to translate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences—from developers to C-suite executives

  • Data-Driven Approach: Comfort with SQL, analytics tools, and making decisions based on metrics

  • High Agency: You figure things out, unblock yourself, and ship solutions without waiting for permission

Nice to Have

  • Experience with messaging infrastructure (Twilio, SendGrid, or similar CPaaS platforms),

  • Knowledge of automation platforms

  • Background at an API-first or developer tools company

  • Previous experience building outbound sales systems at scale

  • Track record of being an early employee at a high-growth startup

What Makes This Role Special

Massive Market Opportunity: Every business needs to communicate with customers. You'll help them do it better, cheaper, and smarter through intelligent routing.

Technical Depth Meets Business Impact: Use your engineering skills to directly drive revenue. Build systems on Monday, close deals on Tuesday.

Learning from the Best: Work directly with our founding team who've built and scaled successful companies. Your ideas will shape our go-to-market strategy.

Equity Upside: Join at the ground floor of a rapidly growing company with significant ownership potential.

Our Commitment to You

  • Competitive Compensation: $130,000 - $180,000 base salary based on experience

  • Meaningful Equity: Competitive ownership stake with high growth potential

  • Premium Benefits: Top-tier health, dental, and vision insurance fully covered

  • 401(k) Match:  We invest in your future - 100% match up to 4%

  • Unlimited PTO: We trust you to manage your time and recharge when needed

  • Growth Budget: Annual allowance for courses, conferences, and learning resources

  • NYC Office: Beautiful workspace with daily meals and unlimited snacks

  • Equipment: Brand New MacBook Pro and Apple Studio Display

  • Fitness Stipend: Comped Wellhub Gold Subscription or Equinox Membership
